She has a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing, and is a two-time winner of the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers contest, which has led to multiple manuscript requests by agents and editors. As a core faculty member at Colorado Free University, she taught creative writing and blogging for twelve years, published flash fiction in the Fast Forward Anthology 2012 and Green Theory & Praxis: Elemental West, finaled in 6 novel contests, winning 4 of them, and received an honorable mention in the 2021 Hemingway Short Story Competition. While working on an MFA in Film Production, she earned a screenwriting credit on IMDB for Glitch, a short sci-fi film.

Her sci-fi novel, VR, is currently on submission with a top publisher.

Evon lives in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. When she’s not writing or editing, she’s backpacking, camping, mountain biking, or reading.
